What is the conservation leadership development program?
The Conservation Leadership Development Program (CLDP) offers rigorous, entry-level opportunities for early-career professionals committed to conservation. Participants work at environmental organizations for periods ranging from eight weeks to one year on projects that enhance their skills and provide leadership experiences to advance their careers.

AmeriCorps members gain valuable insight into the conservation field and receive benefits including a living allowance and an AmeriCorps education award for their service.

Each cohort explores a diverse range of conservation-related disciplines. Through Kupu's extensive network of partner sites across Hawai'i and the Pacific, participants are exposed to fields such as ornithology, botany, natural resource management, aquatic resource management, marine biology, Hawaiian cultural studies, and agricultural science!
